Common Questions About Mobile Banking

Can I access my accounts using my phone?

There are several ways to access your accounts with your mobile device. Clarkston State Bank offers text banking, mobile web banking, and a Mobile Banking app for Android and Apple/iOS devices. Visit our Mobile Banking page for information on activation and functionality, or download the app from your mobile device’s app store.

How do I log on to web banking and/or the mobile app?

You will use the same Online Banking credentials used to log onto the website to log on to the web banking platform and the mobile app.

What can I access on the Mobile Banking App?

You have access to account balances, check images, and statements as well as have the ability to transfer between accounts, access alerts, and find a nearby branch or fee free Comerica ATM.

How should I endorse a mobile deposit check?

When depositing checks using your CSB mobile app, please endorse all checks with “FOR MOBILE DEPOSIT AT CLARKSTON STATE BANK” when signing the back. Failure to do so may result in your mobile deposit being rejected by Clarkston State Bank or the receiving financial institution.

How do I use Remote Deposit, Bank-to-Bank Transfers, and iPay?

You may self-enroll for Remote Deposit, but you must apply to use Bank-to-Bank Transfers and iPay. The application can be found on our Mobile Banking page, or a Customer Service Representative can assist you in one of our branches. You will receive an e-mail from TreasuryManagement@clarkstonstatebank.com confirming you have been enabled to use these products and providing information sheets or tips on how to use them.

Can I use the Bill Payment service with the Mobile Banking App?

Services such as Bill Payment, and Bank-to-Bank Transfers may be initiated through the Mobile Banking App. Creating new payees and enrolling new accounts for these services must be done when logged in to the website for security reasons.

Do I have to input my Online Banking credentials every time I log onto the Mobile Banking App?

The Mobile Banking App will not remember your password for security reasons, but if you enable the “Remember Me” feature on the login screen for the app, the app will remember your ID and partially mask the ID for an easy and secure log-in experience.

Can I use my iPhone’s Touch ID feature to log onto the App?

If you have biometric fingerprint scanning enabled on your iPhone or Android, you may turn on Touch ID for logging into your online banking. Once you are logged in, go to the Preferences option in the App menu, then turn the switch next to Touch ID to green. The Remember Me feature must be enabled to use Touch ID.

What do I do if I cannot see one of my accounts when logged on to the Mobile Banking App?

If you cannot see an account on the Mobile Banking App, you will need to enable that account through the Online Banking platform. Simply log onto the website, and under the Mobile Settings on the Options tab, you will need to make sure there is a check mark next to all the accounts you want to access, and click Submit.

If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact us through the Online Banking portal, or visit or call one of our branches.
