Clarkston State Bank is pleased to sponsor the Clarkston Area Chamber of Commerce’s Concerts in the Park’s Local Talent Segment.
If you have been at the annual parade you will have noticed the Bank employees following several ice cream trucks and passing out good humor ice cream sandwiches to the parade goers. The Bank has been involved in sponsoring the parade since 1999.
Every spring the management team at the Bank invites the top ten seniors and their parents from the graduating class at Clarkston High School to dinner. The dinner is accompanied with a brief presentation and gift as recognition for their superior academic performance throughout high school.
Over the past several years the Bank has been involved with setting up school bank programs in several of the elementary schools. Management representatives interview candidates to be hired as school bank employees. Once hired the employees work with parent volunteers to assist in running the bank throughout the school year. Accounts are opened up at the school and transferred to the main office after enrolling. Students can make deposits throughout the year and can access the account for withdrawls at any branch office. The program has been a wonderful success and introduces youngsters to the value of saving as well as the operation of a bank.
